What does this really mean?
NO it doesn't have to be line of site. If you have a line of sight situation - it will transmit 800 metres. If there are trees, buildings between the sensor and the house etc, you may only get 500, 600 or possibly 700 metres range. The Pocket Receiver is powered by a rechargeable battery. A plug pack plugged into a wall socket is used to recharge the Pocket Receiver. The Receiver will sound a tune when someone passes the sensor and has a vibrate mode also. There is also a volume control on the Pocket Receiver and an ON / OFF button. The tune is an awesome tune - especially for tone deaf people. This has to be the best small portable receiver on the market
You can have unlimited number of receivers, either Receivers in the house and / or Pocket Receivers.
