What does this really mean?
NO it doesn't have to be line of site. If you have a line of sight situation - it will transmit 800 metres. If there are trees, buildings between the sensor and the house etc, you may only get 500, 600 or possibly 700 metres range. This kit provides everything to cover one driveway including the receiver in the house.
Kit Includes:
- 1 x Outdoor sensor (Probe for in the ground with cable to Transmitter)
- 1 x Indoor Receiver (4 Tunes and volume control)
- 1 x Plug Pack for Indoor Receiver

- Includes 4 x CR123 Batteries for the Transmitter

The Transmitter (mounted adjacent to the driveway) is powered by 4 x CR123 Batteries. Alkaline Batteries are fine, but you can also use Lithium Batteries for very cold situations. The Battery will last approx.12 months. Attached to the Trasmitter is a cable which connects to a Probe buried beside the Drive or in the Driveway. This system will ignore ALL animals and people and only detects metallic objects passing over or beside the Probe. So any car, truck, motorbike moving within 15 metres will activate the Probe and Transmitter. The sensor will not be triggered by moving trees or shrubs. The Transmitter will send a signal up to 800 metres (1/2 mile) to the Receiver (In the house) when it is activated. Ideal for applications where you want to run stock on the driveway and where you dont need to detect people coming up the driveway.

The Receiver (in the house) is powered by a plug pack plugged into a wall socket. The Receiver will play a tunes when someone passes the sensor. The Receiver will accommodate up to 4 Sensors - 1 per Channel. Each Sensor can have a unique tune so you know which area has activated. There is also a volume control on the Receiver and an ON / OFF button.The Receiver also has outputs for every Channel, so it is very versitile.
Up to 3 Extra sensors can be added to the system. The Sensor can be a mix of the following types:
- DCMT - 2500 - ANZ, PIR,
- DCPT - 2500 - ANZ, Probe Transmitter
- BBT - 2500 - ANZ, Point to Point Beam Transmitter
- DCPT - 2500 - ANZ, Rubber Hose Transmitter
- UT - 2500 - ANZ, Universal Transmitter
