How it works
The Beam Sensors are set up on the driveway or area you want to monitor. There are two Beam Sensors in the kit, and these can be mounted up to 100 metres apart on a solid post or building. There is 2 (invisible) beams that are transmitted between the Beam Sensors. Anything interrupting the beams will cause a signal to be sent to the Alert Receiver, which plays a tone to alert you – so is usually set up in your house, shed, office etc.
The kit has a range of 1.6km (1.0 mile) between the Beam Sensors and the Alert Receiver.
What else do I need to know?
Beam Sensors
The Beam Sensors (on the driveway) are solar powered.
Batteries keep the Beam Sensors operating at night.
Receiver
The Alert Receiver (in the house) is powered by a plug pack, which plugs into a wall socket (this is included in the kit).
Your Alert Receiver has four different volume levels.
You can program your Alert Receiver to play one of 12 tunes.
If you have more than one set of Beam Sensors connected to your receiver, you can program your receiver to play a different sound for each set of Beam Sensors to help you identify which entranceway someone has entered by.
