How it works
The Alert Sensor is set up on the driveway (or entrance point) you want to monitor. The Alert Sensor has an adjustable detection range from 7 to 30 metres, it is set up at a 15 metre default so any moving heat source (ie person, vehicle or animal) moving within the set coverage range will activate the Alert Sensor. The Alert Sensor detects moving heat sources and will therefore not be triggered by moving trees or shrubs.
Upon being activated, the Alert Sensor will send a signal back to your Alert Receiver unit, which plays a tone to alert you – so is usually set up in your house, shed, office etc.
The kit has a range of 1.6km (1.0 mile) between the sensor and the receiver.
What else do I need to know?
Sensor
The Alert Sensor (on the driveway) is powered by 1 x 9V battery.
Receiver
The Alert Receiver (in the house) is powered by a plug pack, which plugs into a wall socket (this is included in the kit).
Your Alert Receiver has four different volume levels.
You can program your Alert Receiver to play one of 12 tunes.
If you have more than one Alert Sensor connected to your receiver, you can program your receiver to play a different sound for each Alert Sensor to help you identify which entranceway someone has entered by.
